I saw on my phone log that the number 978-622-0589, listed as Wellcare, had called while I was out. I dialed the number and was told it was Wellcare, calling about my prescriptions. The female who answered said, "For security purposes, am I speaking with "______"? I said "Yes." She then asked, "For security purposes, please confirm your date of birth." That was it for me. I said, "You called me. I don't need to verify my identity to you, you need to prove your identity to me. This smells like a scam." Then I hung up. The call repeatedly contained the standard, recorded words 'This call may be monitored for ....' Common sense says that a healthcare affiliate will contact you by mail, or perhaps email, if there are concerns or questions, not by a communications device (phone) from which data can be obtained or recorded. If you get a call from a provider or vendor with whom you actually deal, better to hang up and call the number you have for that provider and ask if they've called you.

Same issues as others concerning name, date of birth etc. HANG UP AND CALL MEMBER SERVICES. Wellcare did not recognize 978 622 0589 as belonging to them.

Robocall said Well Care with important information about prescriptions

Says they are Wellcare, an automated type call, asks questions, full name, birthdate, refers to why I did not take the medication that was supposedly prescribed to me. They have been calling every month for about 4 or 5 months now around the 2nd or 3rd of the month. Contacted Wellcare and they did not have any idea what I was talking about. I gave them the info and asked for them to add the comments to my account. Calling Iowa - 641 area code

Asked for my birth date to continue, called me by my name. 978-622-0589

Interactive robocall pretending to be Wellcare. They addressed me by my first name so apparently not random. Asked for my DOB "to confirm my identity" (I did not)... I hung up. I phoned Wellcare and confirmed this was not Wellcare. Weasel criminals. Beware of this scam.
