Called and said that they were Chase Bank. Asked me to first enter my last 4 of SS number, I did, then they asked me to enter my account number, which I entered "0", then asked me to enter my full Social Security number, which I again entered "0". Fortunately, I felt like it was a scam after they asked for my full account number. Sadly, they have the last of my SS number. I hope that gets them nowhere fast. UGH! Beware. When the call came in, it said potentially Chase.

"Chase Bank" called stating someone was opening a debit card in my name and saying that fraudulent charges were being made on Apple Pay for $5000 and that my Zelle account was compromised. Chase said that they were transferring me to "zelle" and were asking me to cancel payment and type in the case number and case managers name. The account number on the chase card (last 4 digits) was 2568. I don't even have a card with this number. I checked my checking account and nothing was withdrawn so I knew it was a scam and hung up. They sounded so professional that I almost fell for it. So upset ! These people are ruthless.
Fraud using Zelle. I was asked to go to Chase App, then go to send Zelle, and enter a cancellation code and amount code of $2000. Hung up when challenged.

Received a call claiming there were 2 fraudulent Zelle transactions for transfers to "Cathy Baker" from Phoenix on my account, received case ID and cancellation numbers. Claimed she was using an iphone 8 to impersonate me. I was then transferred to Mr. "Martin" from the Zelle fraud department. He wanted me to log on to my Chase account while he was on the phone with me to effect the cancellations since the transactions would otherwise go through. This didn't make any sense to me since Chase had supposedly already declined the transactions. When I asked to call him back, he was very resistant, which further raised my hackles. He gave me the 1800-848-9380 number and told me that I could verify that it was Chase, and I hung up. A search revealed that it is a scam and I didn't call him back. I checked my Zelle account - no record of any pending transactions
Pretended to be with Chase
They call me about somebody try to do a Zelle Transaction, they are they were supposedly Chase workers and ask me to go to my account online to cancel the transaction. But I know something was wrong I told them that I prefer to go to the bank and solve the problem. So they said it is ok and disconnect the call.

Caller's name: Mark Johnson
They said they were calling about a Zelle fraud was happening.
someone spoofed the Chase 800-848-9380 tel no, called saying there was a fraud alert of unauthorized user trying to open an online account, and then transferred the call to a Zelle representative to cancel suspected fraudulent Zelle payments. They directed me to add Eddie Diaz (supposedly the Zelle fraud manager) and the case number (scam tel no 408-839-0541) as a recipient in advance of cancelling the transactions. This seemed itself fraudulent, so I did not do this and disconnected.
