The caller wanted my all information. I asked who she was, she said she was from First Bank Trust Portfolio. I hung up and blocked the caller. Totally is a scam call.

Out of the blue, this business name that pops up constantly these days on my cell phone daily is Portfolio Recovery. They never leave a message! I don't owe ANY bills in need of recovery to ANY lenders. I took a step further and went to their website and did a search under my name and nothing appeared! However, i did other random searches w/other peoples names and info did appear. My guess is this is one of this shady company's trying to get friends, family members and/or associates to pay other people's debt w/bogus intimidation! You can thank social media for the weak privacy guidelines/restrictions (we signed up for since we didnt read the fine print) and allowing profiles to be publicly searched/shared even if your setting is private! But I digress.. Until this company leaves me message, they will continue to log into their system "no answer". And by the way they call from all type of telephone numbers (800, 888, 609, 818, etc)..

This 800# called my cell, I didn't answer. I called back later out of curiosity. There was a recorded message stating it was an attempt to collect a debt and the call would be recorded, blah blah blah. However, I don't owe anyone money. When a live person answered, she wanted my name. Hesitantly I gave it and said someone called me from there, just wanted to know why. Then she wanted my date of birth, wouldn't give that. Then my social, street address....SOMETHING. I asked why they called, she played stupid, said she didn't call me. She said my name is in her system, so to her that means I owe someone something. And she proceeded to do the WORST pronunciation of my name I've ever heard. I told her I used to get a TV Guide, so I'm in their system too, that didn't mean squat. She repeated that she needed my date of birth to get started, I asked started with WHAT? I then said I'll give her mine if she gives me hers.....she got mad and said she had to mark me as "non-compliant". Well, I'm scared now. :) I think they could be dangerous to someone who is older and maybe not thinking clearly like my parents used to be. Definitely look out for these guys.
