Message from 1-414-293-9873 telling me to call 1-716-287-8028 stating that "your outstanding tax balance reduced that I think you're really gonna like um give me a call". Received this message 3 days after I filed my tax return on Turbo Tax. Are they hacking Turbo tax? I did not call the number.

Spoiler alert: You don’t owe $10,000 dollars. There is no “2024 Advantage Tax Relief Fund” that miraculously wipes out said debt. PSA: Please check with a known tax prep agency if you believe you are at risk instead of this “specialist”.

CREEPY male recorded voice on very bad recording. Call came from 636-238-2447 (Missouri) says to call 716-287-8028 (New York). Allegedly Tax Relief Center wants to help you with the NONEXISTENT "Advantage Tax Relief Fund" BUT you HAVE to CALL NOW becuz program ends at end of this month.... Besides creepy voice, LOTS of red flags: 1- HAVE to act now 2- NO verifiable company name 3- NO verifiable name of tax fund program 4- NEITHER phone # comes back to ANY listing. Another site shows BOTH ARE VOIP #s with no owner listing. 5- WHY is an UNSOLICITED MO# calling TX# to say call a NY#?????? -- sets off bells & red flags EVERY time some call wants me to call another state for "help" with alleged FEDERAL tax filing. -- do they think MY state prepares are too stupid to file such reports? OR, is THIS alleged company SO BAD that it CAN'T GET LOCAL BUSINESS anymore??? -- either way, NOT GOOD! 6- also, NOT GOOD when calling "business" doesn't bother itself to find out there is NO BUSINESS AT # BEING CALLED....DUH. Even IF were a legit company, would show VERY POOR ATTENTION TO DETAIL...NOT what you'd want in someone filing your taxes. Be sure & report to FCC so they can at least send fines to the VOIP companies allowing these OBVIOUS SCAMMERS to have access to VOIP to steal from people. (As far as I'm concerned, they should be charged under RICO statutes as accessories.)
