The call started off as a survey, and I told the guy to just email me and call back later—I wanted to make sure it was really AT&T. He sent an email from an official att.com work address, so that gave me some peace of mind. I told him upfront I wasn’t giving out any sensitive info, and he was totally fine with that. I also had an issue from before with a door-to-door sales rep who messed things up when offering phone upgrades, and this guy actually took care of it and got me the credit I was promised. I ended up switching my internet, which I normally would never do since I work from home—but he made it super smooth. I got to keep my Google Fiber until the AT&T tech came out for the install. Everything went perfectly. I even got some nice perks like 3 months free and a $500 Visa reward card. It’s not a scam.
